A husband and wife both get laid off and have to start over.
Comedy but mostly drama from Finland about a husband and wife who both lose their jobs and the trials they have while sticking together and looking for work. The film is mostly made up of static shots with some movement from the actors, but whoa is it robotic.
Everyone in the film are so straight up and down and mostly emotionless it actually becomes a bit of a bore.
The story grinds along in a semi predictable way with a few laughs to be had.

Im not sure why neither because the movie sucks And had always sucked as a " horror ' film. oOoOO noises in the woods all to build up to their friend standing in a corner of some house in the woods!! Ahhh Soo spooky! Maybe for a toddler maybe.
I originally gave this a thumbs up because I read it super late last night and apparently read it very wrong due to lack-of-sleep. I thought you liked it. My bad. Now I realize you are just an idiot.
I saw this film when it came out. It was a phenomenon. Not everyone liked it but it is a powerful film that does a lot with very little. It also essentially kicked off an entirely new genre of films.
Sometimes a piece of art (and yes I consider this art) can rub us the wrong way but I have always thought that people who dislike this film lack imagination and/or an attention span. This film is masterfully done and the ending, if you have been paying attention, is utterly chilling.
Another thing I'd like to point out: When you don't like something that the culture has deemed good then you probably got it wrong. Also, concentrate on commenting on the shit you like. Nobody cares why you didn't like something. Being negative is easy. Having said that, fuck you and the dumb ass horse you rode in on.
Just viewed this on Netflix. Absolutely brilliant.

I read what @DirtyWrists wrote and it wasn't at all scathing or overly negative. I'v written about films iv watched and had alot more negative things to say than that.
When that film was released it was cleverly marketed as 'actual found footage'. I remember the hype surrounding it. It took off because initally people did think it was actually real. I also saw it in cinemas, but knew that it was fake.
It's a OK film. But has kinda aged due to the cheap availabilty of computer animation, effects and the genre of found footage becoming it's own thing. It does stand as the first to use entirely created footage and the tension that builds as the filmmakers get more and more lost is errie, but i feel alot of that would be sadly lost on todays audiences.
The directors used the idea from the film Cannibal Holocaust, that being, found footage of documentry makers that were never found again.
C.H. is the original 'found footage' film, its just it pads out it story with the studio exes watching a screening of it.

A repeat of an earlier kidnapping.
Interesting film that has the statue of limitations running out on one case of a kidnapping and another case that happens at the same time that has all the hallmarks of the original.
Lots of twists and call backs make this a interesting but not enthralling film. The main focus is on the new case with the mother of the first one slightly in the background. It may have tried too hard to layer the plot for the finale, but it did come together nicely, albeit, slightly clunky. Excellent acting from the mother of the first victim.
Blair Witch sucks big time.

Home invaders.
A tense and thrilling horror about a three blokes that break into a couple and their daughters home. The film doesn't fuck around, setting up the family on moving in day and getting straight to the intruders. The scenes that are filmed are long takes with the characters moving around, going from room to room. There are a few split screen scenes that show whats happening at different times or on the other side of a wall/door.
This just adds another layer of tension.
Overall the film reminded of the french film Inside.
Another home invasion classic that has different characters turn up and get caught up in the mayhem.
Excellent watch.
Only drawback was the version i downloaded was dubbed over with Russian. Small price to pay.
