Crime drama about a P.I. tasked with finding out if a bloke is cheatng on his wife.
From there is slowly gets more serious as the P.I. played by Jack Nicholson gets involved with his client played by Faye Dunaway.
The last film directed by Roman Polanski in the U.S. before he left for good. Seen from the perspective of the P.I. it's shows him as a tough ex cop that wants to get answers to a increasingly serious problem.
Excellent in every way. The sets, the direction and the slow building tension.

Interesting film that has great shots of open landscape. It has the actress Frances McDormand as 'Fern'. It's obvious at some points that some characters are real and some situations are not.
Thoughtful film about the lifestyle of a people that the mainstream know nothing about.

A stranger come to town and takes on the local landowner.
Spaghetti western that has a familar plot but with a couple of twists. Entertaining and a run time of just on 90mins it doesn't get boring.
The violence is kinda tame compared to later horror films and westerns in general but the direction, sets and locations are well thought out.

A bloke kills a family and takes over the restauraunt.
Based on a true story, a bloke takes issue with a gambling debt and proceeds to kill the owner and family and run the restaurant. Due to the remains of one victim being found and fingerprints obtained the police close in.
Campy style of film with the police being portrayed as lazy except for the female officer. The film starts with a previous murder then jumps to him running the restaurant. There are a couple of more murders and thats when it does get more explict with the violence and how he disposes of them. The 'investigation' does drag a little but near the end there is a lot of beatings and torture with a flashback to the killing of the whole family.
Interesting film with a pretty decent amount of gore but little suspense with a pile of camp factor.
