I have no idea what this means.

I don't own a cape. I've never posted about capes. The only person in this thread talking about capes is you...

Do you wear a cape?
where in the cape are you from?
do you live in a cape style house?

It was the lead off story on the news.
I'm hearing 5 shot, 2 dead. A man and a woman, both highly experienced. They're keeping quiet with most info right now. FBI was raiding a major pedo ring leaders home, all hell broke loose, suspect fired away at them, then ate a bullet. No word if there were others inside living or dead, or how they will proceed at this time.
In 1985/86 I think, not too far from this incident, was another shootout that took several agents lives.
He either got tipped off that they were coming or saw them or beat them to the punch and came out firing.
They expected to have years to fabricate the evidence. Didn't plan on the man upholding his rights to use whatever force is necessary to stop unlawful arrest.

I have to disagree completely. I owe them nothing.

I don't care what division of the FBI they were assigned to.
They were FBI agents...thus they were scum.

The FBI has proven itself to be corrupt...from the top...down to the "rank and file."

Remember, it was a large group of "rank and file" FBI agents that raided the home of Roger Stone and his wife with automatic weapons, flak jackets, and helmets.

And they also made sure that CNN was there to film their bullshit.

The FBI is a joke with zero credibility now.
It's a corrupt agency filled with corrupt people and it's presently irredeemable.

It would have to be dismantled and rebuilt from scratch to gain any credibility.

View of the armored vehicle. There's a pole looking thing attached to the front.

What is that?

That's a long battering ram on the front of the armored vehicle.

When the FBI encounters someone who actually fights back and shoots back...they run for cover and bring in the type of armored vehicle that is seen in those pictures.

The FBI's "motto" of "Fidelity," "Bravery," and "Integrity" is total bullshit...they don't possess any of those qualities.

-Ward

Mebbe that is a ram, for when they want to open a door safely from a distance.
It probably is a ram for busting down doors and acting as the tip of a spear to punch through and loosing up obstacles like brick and stone walls before crashing through with the vehicle.

I guess you are to young to remember. FBI got it's start murdering Dillinger, and Bonnie & Clyde.
Starting over won't change anything. Hell their boss wore a tutu to lure little girls into fbi headquarters.
They need to be showing the fake warrant they used. After Ruby Ridge, and Waco you have to be a fool to not shoot them on sight.

Every day agents lie to judges, plant evidence, and frame citizens....
There fixed it for you.
But people please. Don't leave the bodies to be found. If missing they are just AWOL and we don't have to pay survivor benefits.

I know that with the chaos the US is in and that we all have opinions about law enforcement and how they conduct themselves, but these two were in the business of bringing down pedophiles. Children are who they worked for.

I think they deserve our respect and gratitude for their hard work, ultimately giving their lives in order to do it.
They'll be missed by many, I'm sure.
May they rest in peace.

MIAMI — The sun had not come up yet on Tuesday when a group of F.B.I. agents assigned to investigate criminals who prey on children online approached the Water Terrace apartments in Sunrise, Fla., to execute a search warrant, a routine part of the job that is always fraught with risk.
What exactly happened in the ensuing minutes is unknown, but a gun battle broke out, rousting neighbors out of bed in the quiet residential community. Law enforcement officials called emergency dispatchers. Multiple shots fired, they reported. Send air rescue.
Two F.B.I. agents died and three more were injured in one of the deadliest shootings in the bureau’s history. No agent had been shot and killed on duty since 2008.
The man being investigated in the case, which the authorities said involved violent crimes against children, had barricaded himself inside the complex and was found dead. A law enforcement official said it appeared that the man had killed himself before agents were able to arrest him. His identity was not released.
Video footage from local police stations showed a grisly scene at the open-air apartment complex. A SWAT truck had rammed into staircase railings that lay on the ground in tatters. There were blood stains on the floor outside the apartments. The police swarmed to the complex, shutting down the roads and keeping people out for most of the day.

Christopher A. Wray, the F.B.I. director, identified the two agents who were killed as Special Agents Daniel Alfin and Laura Schwartzenberger.
“Every day, F.B.I. special agents put themselves in harm’s way to keep the American people safe,” Mr. Wray said in a statement. “Special Agent Alfin and Special Agent Schwartzenberger exemplified heroism today in defense of their country. The F.B.I. will always honor their ultimate sacrifice and will be forever grateful for their bravery.”
Ms. Schwartzenberger, 43, was a mother of two from Colorado and had been with the F.B.I. since 2005. She was part of the violent crimes against children squad in the bureau’s Miami field office, court records show. She was assigned to the Innocent Images National Initiative, a part of the F.B.I.’s cybercrimes program established to combat the proliferation of images of child sexual abuse online.
Mr. Alfin, 36, was a father of one from New York and had been a special agent since 2009. He was assigned to the Miami Child Exploitation task force. He discussed his role in an online F.B.I. article about the 2015 arrest of a Naples, Fla., man who ran what the bureau described as the world’s largest child pornography website. The site, called Playpen, had more than 150,000 users around the world.
" A SWAT truck had rammed into staircase railings that lay on the ground in tatters ", who pays for the damage ??
