For what is the vaccination exactly? My doc offered me one against shingles/herpes zoster; it became quite common again here. 🤔
Of course, I denied it. Same with influenza shots every year.

The only vaccination I get is for tetanus every decade. The stuff is well developed and researched.

Lol thanks for the feedback. Personally I’m not one of those people; wasn’t my intention to come off as one. I know three people, one of which is my significant other. I don’t believe they’re all sick or dead, and I don’t believe in that mind control BS. Or anything else for that matter. if anything, my main concern is that they’re gonna force us to pay for it later down the road by raising taxes, or some other random bs.

Personally I treat this subject the way I treat buying a new game: It’s not that fucking serious, and I’m trying to figure out if I should go out of my way and get it or not. Just wanted an opinion, not a bashing.

I had shingles when I was 18ish, never had it since in over 20 years and I was popping 3 ibuprofen every 4hrs till when I had a bad back and couldn't see a doc last year so I doubt that makes much difference.

I'm not getting it ever and I've never taken the flu shot either. But I can understand why older people or people with pre existing conditions might take it. My dad took it and he's almost 80 he said if he had it to do over he would've never gotten the vaccine but his sister scared him into it and the shot made him sick for a few days.

I don't get the media hype about the virus. I'm South African...yes I'm white. Our statistics 95% recovery rate...excluding those sick and not better yet. So...99% recovery ?. Sounds like flu to me. Flu turns into pneumonia in the old and/or weak. No old folk or babies get pnumonia anymore ?. Only Covid ?. Ok can I ask you how you actually know that, how do you know the chances are lower? As you won’t know what your symptoms would be if you’ve not had it, or what they would be if you have, as there different in every single person and different every time you catch it

My doc mentioned it some time ago and I had a look too. I've heard the term before but wasn't sure what it was.
Apparently there's a rise in cases who got shingles in Germany in the last few years and they offer a prophylactic vaccination for the elderly above 62 years (if I remember correctly)
