That is called a huo guo which means "hot pot". Most are convenient butane cartridge stoves but some models like this one used paraffin lamp oil and a round wick burner a lot like an Aladdin kerosene mantle lamp. Like all liquid fuel appliances, you DO NOT REFUEL A HOT FUCKING APPLIANCE. She tried to refuel a burner assembly that is literally still at 2000°F from being used the whole time and that is what happens.
