I'm 99% sure that's a boa. A constrictor normally will strike and release when they are nervous, scared, or annoyed. I've only ever seen them strike and hold with prey. Obviously he's too small to eat the guy, but I do think it is an attack at some level. The guy is being a complete dickwad though and deserves it. I was actually hoping the boa would wrap itself around the guy's neck, but that probably would have precipitated something worse for the snake unfortunately.
