Two women charged after man allegedly doused in petrol and set alight at pub

The 26-year-old suffered severe burns during the alleged incident and two women have been charged.

Two women have been charged after a man was allegedly doused in petrol and set alight at a Queensland pub.

Father-of-four Jordan Moore, 26, has been identified as the alleged victim.

The 26-year-old man suffered severe burns during the alleged incident which unfolded outside the Stock Hotel pub in Harristown just before 10pm on Wednesday.

A 35-year-old Wilsonton woman and a 31-year-old Newtown woman have been charged with one count each of acts intended to cause grievous bodily harm.

The 26-year-old’s parents told 7 NEWS that they woke to a knock on the door from police on Thursday.

“I just got told he got doused and lit, and that’s just wrong,” his father Barry Moore said.

“It’s not a good wake-up call.”

His parents said he remains in a serious condition in hospital but he is unable to speak as a result of severe burns to his face, neck and arms.

CCTV footage has emerged of Mr Moore struggling to open the front doors of the Stock Hotel while seeking help after the alleged attack.
