What Do You Serve With Ham

I'm cooking Thanksgiving dinner this year and since I feel like ham that's the main course, but looking for ideas for side dishes.

Currently thinking about the following:
-a fresh salad of some sorts
-creamed spinach (Ruth's Chris recipe)
-turkeyless stuffing (all the stuffing ingredients but cooked sans bird, I buy turkey wings and put them on top as it bakes so it gets all the flavor)
-mashed mix (potatoes, turnips & carrots)
-brussel sprouts (I love them)
-asparagus (GF loves them)
-squash
-corn pudding
-cheapest dinner rolls I can find (GF's retard brother likes them, I'm planning on chaining him to the backyard fence and lob him one every now and then)

Any favorites you'd suggest?

Boiled Baby potatoes with garlic and herb salt with butter over them it gives me a chubby everytime if anyone doesn'tlike them throw them out yer house and dont speak to them again theyre for the watching trust me.pour some honey over the ham in the last 5 mins of cooking time 👌

Freshly baked bread rolls
Potatoes mashed, but baby potatoes in a butter sauce are good as well
Corn
Stuffing
Side salad
Sweet potatoes with brown sugar or marshmallow topping
Any vegetable that the family likes as a bonus ( fresh green beans, asparagus, carrots, cranberry sauce dish)

Containers for take home

Two types of desert

Green eggs. Jk, but the leftovers do make a solid breakfast with some French toast. As for the sides, I usually do some baked asparagus with a baked potato, loaded down with all the fixings and bits of the ham substituted for the bacon bits on my potato
Depending on the number who are planning to show up I might do a second ham just for the leftovers. I LOVE baked ham. Either portion it of and vac pac & freeze it or make an excellent split pea & ham soup.

tell me more about your gf retarded brother
He's not actually special needs, I'd never treat someone legitimately retarded poorly. He's just quite stupid, profoundly lazy, could work but doesn't (scams disability) and is just all around hateable. He's almost like a young road pavement but without the full fledged retardation and scat play. GF doesn't like him, his parents don't like him but feel sorry for him.....we're actually thinking about giving him a Swiss Chalet gift card (ghetto roast chicken restaurant) and telling him we're all going to be out of town.

Freshly baked bread rolls
I'd like to think of myself as a respectable home chef but I'm shite at baking. If I'm going to serve rolls there's a good bakery I shop at.

LOL, unless its in their belly no leftover ham will be leaving my house.

Definitely goes great with mashed potatoes, also with mac and cheese although mac and cheese can sometimes be frowned on as not very classy - (depends on your guests) personally I love it. great with all kinds of green salads and potato salads .
I've do a fair lux pasta & cheese that people seem to like. Not worried about impressing anyone as they already love me.
