animals Komodo Dragon Electrocuted By Eel

Great post again, I liked the moment as the tail of the electro-eel looks like the Komodo's tongue.

The eel was its food, I think, and already dead before.

The eel was dead to begin with and it still kicked its ass
I remember as a boy we had an 'electric fish' in the zoo's aquarium here. Outside on the wall was a small loudspeaker, and every time the fish released a current into the water you could hear a scratching noise.
I believe these animals produce the current by contractions of specialized muscle, and maybe the biting and chewing of the Komodo had a similar effect on it. Or the force of their very strong stomach. Just an idea.

Since when are dead eels capable of emitting electric shock?
they’ve been known to reserve a charge for 8 hrs after death.

Their tails are structured with electroplaques similar to a dry cell battery. So yeah, that’s why a 9v will shock you if you stick your tongue on it, even if it’s not connected to anything or depleted.
