The "parents" need nothing but prolonged torture.
Keep them healthy and alive for as long as possible inside of an uncomfortable and terrifying space, being only taken out in the open for fresh air for the public to see.
They should be subject to blind beatings, waterboardings hourly and kept in stress positions and only allowed to rest in order for them to be kept alive for as long as possible.
They will only eat dog food and live insects as long as these things are enough to keep them alive and healthy, nothing a multivitamin can't solve.
A large photograph of the victim will be the only decoration in their sorrowful pit.
After a few years or months when they become desensitised to the treatment they will be publicly executed involving being flayed and submerged in hot lemon juice or vinegar in front of a roaring crowd.
