Why do you hate Drag Story Hour? Drag Queens and clowns, a comparison…🫦🤡💄

Personally I would not like them in a classroom with my kids, I am not a hater but kids ask questions like why is that man dressed like that, then you have to approch the subject of the birds and bees far too early. My oldest will be 7 in July, I just think its too early. They already asked my why a man was wearing a skirt in the park, I just changed the subject .

Personally I love a scary clown and I find a lot of drag queens so damn sexy. I saw the rocky Horror many years ago and immediately found myself kinda aroused by Tim Curry in fishnets, I would love a night with Adore Delano in drag, same with Charity Kase, Courtney Act, Alaska Thunderfuck etc its also their bravado i like, they come across as pervy in a good way. I think Im maybe only supporting celebrity drag acts here that look fucking amazing, and they are an art form, as opposed to those big bearded blokes in their mums frocks touching toddlers.

I think many men feel uneasy around drag queens due to suppressed feelings of attraction or confusion about their own sexuality,. They won't admit it tho. But Clowns aren't sexualised, clowns are supposed to be funny, or often scary and hidden behind a mask, drag queens are sexy, hence why people don't want their children around one the same as they wouldn't want their children in a stripper bar.

Discomfort or aversion stems from various factors such as unfamiliarity, cognitive dissonance, cultural norms, and personal experiences. These feelings don't necessarily indicate hatred or disdain but reflect complex psychological and sociocultural processes.

On a side not Charity Kase is both a drag queen and a scary clown

So I’ve been thinking, why are some people so averse to drag queens and their story hour? “Because they are creepy and weird”, you might say. I somewhat agree with that, but their act can be funny too. Also I thought that they are no more creepy or weird then a clown, yet parents don’t think twice about their children being read too by a clown in full costume.

Clowns are creepy, weird and funny, yet conservatives don’t mind bringing their kids around them. Drag queens are similar to clowns in almost every way. As I said, they can be creepy, weird, and funny. Cartoonish makeup and outfits. The exaggerated emotions. They are both slime on the bottom of the showbiz ladder. They are the same! Except conservatives are used to seeing clowns but not drag queens. I guess circus clowns and drag queens are different in that way.

Thats my small hypothesis of why drag queens being around them is so despised by right wingers but really I don’t know! Soooooo…

If you are someone who is in the anti-drag queen camp please explain to me why you think and feel that why? Im genuinely curious because I can’t relate to your position at all. I will reply to all that are worthy of one.

im not a faggot?

Im definitely not supporting pedos, nor the types that read stories to kids. I may have veered off topic in my post to be fair, and merely stated I fancied some celebrity drag acts and that some guys got uncomfortable around some of them, because they do present as sexy and usually cocky, confident and funny. Sadly the couple you pictured (William and Zachary Zulock) are vile human beings that abused their adopted children, But it wasn't the fact they were gay that made them abuse their children, that was because they were pedophiles.. Pedophilia isn't a disease that affects only gay people; it affects straight people too. Thankfully there are many gay couples out there that adopt (often children from abusive homes with straight parents) and they excel in their parenting job.

I get what you're saying, I see a difference myself this isn't about Eddie Izzard or some random homo, my opinion is as someone else pointed out, there is only one kind of guy who wears a clown costume paired with fishnets around children and that's a serial killer.

Not all drag queens are trans, I don’t even think most of them are. I’ve never been to a drag show but they seem to be caricatures of women the way minstrel shows caricaturized blacks back in the day. I assume most drag shows are 18/21+ because of the sexual nature of their jokes or performance or whatever you call it. It’s just an odd choice to bring those people in to talk to small children. Combine that with the fact that some lgbtq activists and drag queens that do these story-time events have been arrested for CP, it makes you stop and go “hmm”. I don’t have an issue with homosexual/trans stuff being talked about in sex ed but not for little kids. Up until high school level I think they should just cover hetero stuff and then tack on “some girls like girls and some boys like boys and that’s okay”. If I had a young child I do not think I would want them going to a drag queen story-time event. People that get upset about others not liking it are the same type of people who get upset when OF moms get banned from chaperoning field trips. Actions have consequences, live your life how you want but don’t expect everyone to approve of it 🤷‍♂️

Retardo, retahdo

you or anyone else haven’t explained to me how drag queens are different from clowns, and what do you mean by “sexed up”, their cock is hanging out of their dress? Women are sexed up in public ALL THE TIME. It gives me a frustration headache but I don’t know what effect it has on kids, boys or girls. Again why is there this special focus of concern on drag queens and them reading to kids.
If you are seriously inquiring about this stupid shit, you are a fucking retard.

Is someone looking for validation?

This is a common opinion among women, but I think you'll find there are just as many men who couldn't give a flying fuck about trans/drag men, what they represent or the imagined threat they pose to society or their own sexuality. They are simply doing what makes them feel good, and not hurting anyone in the process. My children can spot one even better than I can, and are not scared by them, nor do they revile them or think there is anything mentally deficient about them in any way prejudicially.
