Nightcrawler. It got some props the year it came out, but then sort of seemed to disappear off of everyone's radar. I think it's one of the best films ever. Phenomenal script, acting, videography. Dark but accurate commentary on how psychopathy is rewarded in our society.

Mysterious Skin. Not so much underrated as just unknown by most people. Some of the most touching scenes I've ever watched and overall just one of the most emotionally affecting movies I've seen.

Whats it about?

I read Eaters of the Dead by Michael Creighton along side the Seamus Haney Beowulf. Such a delicious pairing!!!

Anybody put down 'Time Bandits'? I think it was a Terry Gilliam film from Monty Python. Sean Connery plays like, 3 characters.

It would be hella cliche to name a horror movie on here, but I'll do it anyways. Lowlifes, which I'm wagering that none of you have seen or heard of, is a surprisingly solid slasher(?) that's available for streaming on Tubi but I found a link online.

Beyond the confines of horror, the sci-fi comedy "Paul" (the film where Seth fucking Rogen voiced an alien) was a laugh riot and I'm surprised nobody talks about it anymore.

Seen that as a kid and was traumatized. Some idiot played it to a room full of children at a RV resort it went from kids having fun to balling

All the neighborhood kids would come to my mom's house when I was in my 20s. Annoying little fucks, but they were actually good kids. I'm in the living room watching "House of 1000 corpses"... they all sat down and hung out. I didn't bother changing it or turning it off because I didn't expect anyone to notice. They sat there and watched the whole movie. I was proud of the little bastards lol
