bizarre Narcan

He wasn't completely out, it actually takes time to work... Sometimes even a few doses
I don't know why manufacturers make it only 4mgs other than it's standard to manufacture the safest minimally effective dose but, that's quite often not how this drug is being used. IIRC, it is not harmful to give a recipient more so with many needing multiple 4mg hits, why not make a second higher dose for first responders atleast? It makes it seem like a cash crop for pharmaceutical companies ffs. 🙄

That's exactly what it is, more $ for big pharma I guess? Even tho u can get narcan free

Free to end users often but in reality the government actually approved many millions to put towards the Narcan programs so, essentially tax payers are ultimately paying for it.

If you look at how it was the sole product made by it's patent holder & essentially it was marketed to governmental agencies, it looks kind of really sketchy as far as the financials, similarly with how vaccine financing is too.

I carry Narcant. It's 500mg of pure liquid fentanyl that finishes the job.
It'd be a waste to use that much as you only need x-amount in micrograms (mcg) and NOT milligrams (mg). 500 milligrams is a gigantic amount of fentanyl and the fact that the units are mcg versus mg is possibly why people OD. Easy fuck up to make regarding units when creating pills too I imagine.

The scary thing about this scenario is the patient almost always wants to kill once their nod wears off
i mean yeah wouldnt you be pissed if you were starving and after getting your first meal someone kicked you in the stomach and made you throw it all up 🤣🤣🤣

Nice little thank you for saving his life
I've seen Narcan in its early injection form, it was injected into the jugular vein and the drug overdosed person immediately regained consciousness even then
Here in Europe, I don't think they use Narcan, it's not allowed to be used in civilian circles, and it's a 50-year-old invention
We have the injection one in England.
People HATE ot being used on them. They're suddenly not in that high anymore after being injected with it and they know it's a waste of their drugs.

But they save their lives by doing so
Obviously, Narcan, which can be used through the nose, is a more modern invention, the version that can be injected through the jugular vein is still the old one, but it works the same
The US nasal spray version is easier to use and does not require any medical or first aid expertise while the needle version does

One of the first times I saw narcan used, the guy was tied up real quick by the military police exactly for that reason but it snapped him out of it after a little bit like Uma Thurman in Pulp Fiction. He was a big strong man so, it was understandable. He could probably kick their ass even 2 or 3 on 1. 😬

The manufacturers do not mention that anywhere on the package or on the giant patient use sheet in the box but, Step 8 should read get tf away from them & just observe them from a distance. It's like you just yanked them out of a nightmare.

This one just goes into a muscle in arm, leg, or whereever. But yeah they need a quicker one tbh.
