Man I ain't seen that shit in god knows how long...πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚
...and you just remembered that off the top of your head.πŸ˜‚
Thanks, it's one of my favorite movies, and I know it by heart.

I used to wait the entire year to watch it on Channel 11 WPIX, as they only showed it on Thanksgiving Day, at 3:00 PM if I remember correctly.

Toyland, toyland
Little girl and boy land
While you dwell within it
You are ever happy there

Childhood's joy land
Mystic merry toyland
Once you pass its borders
You can ne'er return again

When you've grown up, my dears
And are as old as I
You'll laugh and ponder on the years
That roll so swiftly by, my dears
That roll so swiftly by

Childhood's joy land
Mystic merry toyland
Once you pass its borders
You can ne'er return again

Yeah my older sister used to sing it too!πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚ Those are good memories, her singing this to us. You must've of been the oldest child in your family singing this to your siblings, am I right?

They definitely would start playing it on Thanksgiving all the way thru Christmas on PBS just you said. All the older movie classics like this played later in the evening & night.

Yup. Thank you for those good memories of life before...😌
... It feels so distant now, ike a past life or other world. You older siblings used to carry so much more responsibility back in those days.
YW, it certainly is a past world, you can never go back.

That being said, my life is still pretty much the same, as I've always been fairly insular in my thinking, live in an unchanged house from 1962, and drive a 20 yo daily drive car that's still in perfect mechanical shape. I've always been resistant to change.
