Sharks and barracudas get curious about people without being hostile. I have done the same thing - I get out of the water quickly. It still scary and I have felt very vulnerable, but the fish weren't trying to hurt me, just like that one . . . I think.

Sharks will do what sharks do. And yeah, the onus of reason is on the human to apply, which should be - don’t go in their house, and they won’t bite you.

The point is that we are assuming the person is in the water already! Assuming that....you are just gonna SIT there and do nothing when a 15 foot Great White Maneater comes up to your nose? Yes? Or no? I think you will not risk death by doing nothing. Be honest about it !!! We all love animals....but if we have to choose between them and yourself....the animal loses every time !!!
