because sometimes it takes longer than 10yrs. also lawyers fuck around and are scammers. milk people out of money till they have no more money,then the lawyer dumps them. this happens to anyone who comes from any country who tries to go about being a citizen, the right way. these lawyers prey upon people who are desperate and dont know who is who in the lawyer world. just that you,as a lawyer,said you will help me get the documentation i need to become a citizen. then it doesnt come to fruition. which is another reason why people dont go about it the right way, because of scammer lawyers. im not saying that its right,but here you are. saved your pennies to come here and be legit about it,and this fucking guy who acts like hes gunna help you. gets your hopes up. and "that will be $500". and another bill comes and another and another and so on. meanwhile,your visa is running out and so is your money.
i know a woman(about 25yrs or so ago) was from canada. came here legally. got a sponsor. went to school (she paid for it) do be a dental hygenest. and her lawyer kept saying "soon". meanwhile shes paid off her student loan for school. got a job. got a house. bought a new car.and the lawyer "soon. thatll be 5oo bux" it never happened after about 12yrs. she packed her shit and went back to canada. so its not always the illegals fault,because theyre tryna do the right thing. again.scumbag lawyers. how do you know your gunna get a scammer? you really dont. unless you know someone who knows who is who.
