The only dinosaurs who survived are birds.Everyone thinks that if dinosaurs were still alive today the world would be scary, but I think the world would be exactly the same as it is now, only with T-rexs wandering around, and some old people who feed them in the parks.
what about sharks? The only dinosaurs who survived are birds.
I think that if T Rex's survived they'd be eating the grandmothers in the parks... and it would be considered normal and prudent to carry an M-203 for close in defence...

True but unless global warming gets totally out of control she's probably safe in the park...what about sharks?
they are also prehistoric predators who would eat a grandma in a heartbeat
just when you thought it was safe to go in the park again.... 🦈True but unless global warming gets totally out of control she's probably safe in the park...

So what's he going to do?Everyone, say "Hello!" to Emmanuel the emu! And yes, he's going to do it! In fact, he's doing it right now!

But the T-Rex would have had a lot of time to evolve, and with no pressure anymore from all the other dinosaurs who went extinct, it wouldn't make evolutionary sense for them to continue putting the resources into being so big. They'd probably be the size of toddlers by now, and they'd specialize in eating mice and rats and the occasional purse dog. Grandma wouldn't be on the menu, and she'd be no more at risk of a stray bite than she is from the stray peck of a pigeon she feeds.
I'm not that far away from old, and I would LOVE to sit in the park and feed T-Rexes when I retire. Maybe one of those biotech entrepreneurs will make it happen...
Everything was super-sized back then because the air had far more oxygen in it than the 21% we have now. Thus, with everything being more oxygenated, creature sizes increased. You imagine their evolution as getting smaller in size. I imagine they would grow acid saliva like a komodo dragon.
