If anyone is curious as to why the plane crashed, this will be deemed 100% pilot error. With the 787, flaps have to be extended on takeoff, i don't see any flaps extended at all.

The photo of the wrecked wing shows deployed slats and what looks like 5' flaps which is nominal for that airport and conditions

Speculation is that the pilot told the copilot “landing gear up” and the idiot pulled the “flaps up”. Nose is up. Tail is down. But its falling from the sky vs gaining altitude. Landing gear is down the whole time vs it should be retracted by 10-15sec. Ooops 🥴🫠
