Washington Post Pulitzer Prize winner arrested for child pornography

A Washington Post reporter and Pulitzer Prize winner was arrested and charged with allegedly possessing child pornography, according to the United States Attorney’s Office for the District of Columbia.

Thomas Pham LeGro made a court appearance in U.S. District Court on Friday, after being arrested on Thursday. LeGro was arrested following a search of his residence in which agents from the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) found “11 videos depicting child sexual abuse material” on his work computer, according to a press release.

From 2006 to 2013, Tom was a reporter-producer for “PBS NewsHour,” covering arts and culture, before returning to The Post.

Who is Thomas Pham LeGro?

According to Fox5DC,Thomas Pham LeGro joined The Washington Post in 2013 as a video editor on the breaking news desk. By 2015, he had been promoted to senior producer, overseeing the International, Style, and Technology teams.

In 2017, LeGro was part of the Post team that received a Pulitzer Prize for its coverage of the Senate candidacy of Roy Moore. In 2021, he was named executive producer, leading the outlet's Politics, National, International, and Technology video teams.

His accolades include a Pulitzer Prize for Investigative Reporting in 2018 (as part of a team) and an Edward R. Murrow Award for investigative journalism.

Hippo's Opinion: It's kinda ironic that a guy who's known for Investigative Reporting got investigated himself.

"During the execution of the search warrant agents observed what appeared to be fractured pieces of a hard drive in the hallway outside the room where LeGro’s work laptop was found."

Sounds like they only found his porn for when he's at work.

Hopefully the US takes things like this more seriously than in Britain otherwise he'll be litter picking for a week and told not to do it again.

5-10 years prison if found guilty

I hear about aot of these cases in the news,,but they never really explain how and what led them to the suspects in the first place. In this case i guess they monitored his work computer?
They get tipped off. But then in order to do a raid they need to justify it to a court for a search warrant. I wonder how much of it is "Honey trapping" like sting operations etc. A whole lot of those faggots have got caught in restaurants and bars on hidden camera gloating about mischievous behavior simply cos they're naive perverts.

Here he is, identifies as Legrow the Negro...

"Hi little Tommy, have you ever been to a San Fran steam house? Do you like gladiator movies? Now don't tell your mom about our secret..."

Remember Labor senator Bob Collins? He was messing around with abo boys for years.

I remember him coming into ICU after surviving being thrown out of his Landcruiser after aiming it at a tree after finding out charges were immanent. Failed suicide attempt.
