Saw how that "husband" was menacing and bringing his fingers right up to breathing distance to the old man. He might have gouged him or blinded him. It was fair warning on the part of the old man and his son merely must've protected him i guess being further away and better positioned to aim.

Too cruel, yeah. Given, they were also fucking retarded because they allegedly went into the house to get their guns and came back out of the house to brandish it. Not a clean self defense case at that point. If they stayed outside and kicked his ass in, or had their guns on them already, they could have gotten away with a stand your ground case. But they didn't stand their ground. They left and came back.

What would have got them a clear castle doctrine self-defense case, was if they stayed in the house with their guns in hand as they retreated, lock the doors, called the police, and if he's still approaching with a threat while calling the police. And if he tries to get in, then you light him up like Christmas.

Allegedly the guy with the camera has a bat in his hand too so they would have been in the right if they handed it just a bit better. Didn't have to be perfect.
