Epic fail, if in a zoo - obviously no medical attention.
The zoo has an HMO and that procedure is not approved.
So then the next best thing is leave the animal struggling with a rotting arm.
Granted, it's not ideal for that monkey, but his friends seem to be enjoying the fresh jerky.
I guess I'm kind of a Pollyanna. I always try to find the positive angle to any situation.

Thanks for not absolutely hating me for making that comment. I'm actually an animal lover and I hate seeing any animal suffer. I hope that monkey wasn't in pain.

It's not eating it, it's "attending" to it in the ways monkeys kind of groom etc. I mean, monkeys don't have their own monkey clinics so I suppose licking at it and examining. It's doing what it can under the circumstances.

The monkey is trying to take care of the other one by eating away the rot, much like when they eat the ticks off of each other. I sure hope he finally got medical attention
