FYI Psilocybin

My casing was in a giant plastic bin. I see small setups like these bags and small tanks. I'm sure that's why I had a big yield. And I think smaller mushrooms are more powerful, no? I could be wrong. But, you don't want giant ones. Like those little cunt copperhead snakes. It's the babies that'll get ya!
I was never disappointed with potency, I start them in like 16 oz. mason jars with grain, I think it was wheat, might have been oats. Once populated, I move them to tubs, substrate of sterilized cow poo, straw, and vermiculite, I know lots of people use coffee grounds, but when left in my coffee maker, they mold, so I'm not sure how the fuck that works? How do you keep it from molding?

My casing reqired a white mold that would grow across the top of the casing. Looked like light snowfall almost. I dont remember why this was important (been over 20 years and im a fuckin idiot). If you ever have black mold dump it and bleach everything. I'm sure you're smart enough to know that.

Interesting, I always killed all the white when I saw it with rubbing alcohol and a q-tip, I never saw black, but I did see pink once and tossed the whole tub, I spray bleach water in the air before opening tubs, I literally wash the entire bathroom with bleach water before I open the incubation jars.

I do have a question for all mushroom people, while I love the Cubenis, (PE) strain, there was an even better one I used to get, before I knew there were different kinds, I'm told they were an Asian strain, when I closed my eyes it wasn't the normal patterns, it was more like a carnival, very busy, and they never hit me hard with that heavy feeling. Does this sound familiar to anyone else?

But while all this was happening with mushrooms, early man also discovered alcohol, and things evened out.
It was actually probably earlier than that. In flat stones in caves, when we were still hunter-gatherers. They found sugar crystals from berries on the stones themselves. Implying they ground whatever they collected and stored it somewhere which likely would have made it into alcohol.

Even before then when we started walking more upright and became less arboreal, our ADH1 gene mutated when we would eat the fallen fleshy fruits with fermentation in them. Its Why even though we have fuck all liver mass compared to grazing animals and such, we can handle a hell of a lot more alcohol by volume than any other mammal.

Other primates and animals have the gene but ours lets us down booze like no one's business and just walk it off later. That's probably what gave us bigger brains to. Our gut floor also developed way more than any other animal and it allowed us to digest a lot more things along with it as well. Even stuff that would make other animals sick.

Cows, pigs, and goats have three times more gut flora than horses and such and we already see them as animals that can adjust to eating anything. But we have 10x more than they do and just get a tummy ache where it would make any other animal die from colic and malnutrition.

With fish shit, I can grow just about anything, but not mushrooms :)

It's all about how you pasteurize your medium for the mycelium to grow, I don't use grains. It's far easy using brf cakes. With a much higher success rates.

what substrate do you use? Lol, I think that is the word, I'm still lit.

Brown rice flour and vermiculite. i'll pack the brf vermiculite into a plastic pasta sauce pot then i'll also put a inch layer of just plain vermiculite on top. so that it acts as a barrier to contiaminants when i flip it out the pot once its been filled with mycellium.

That is all you use for both? No poo, straw, coffee?

Yes, you don't need to use grains, i find them unreliable, easy to contaminate and generally harder to work with. Im a member of theshroomery.org, and have been for near a decade. But you'll find all the teks you need to do a successful shroom grow.
