Nice one mate my ripples and ears are very wellmpleased
Thanks dude! Two of these songs really blew me away in that it sounds like the Beatles singing.

The Lies one by the Knickerbockers sounds like Lennon and Somebody Made For Me by Emmitt Rhodes sounds like McCartney. If I wasn’t such a big fan and you told be the first was an early Beatles song and the other was a Paul McCartney song I would probably fall for it it.

beatles is a overrated band anyway
I’m all for calling overrated things overrated but with the Beatles it doesn’t fit. Their popularity and the effect they had on culture really is a big as their reputation I think. I’m not a good judge on wether their music is overrated though because I have been a hardcore fan since I was a teenager.

On a similar note, Pink Floyd and David Bowie have also been falsely attributed to a few rock hit songs that resemble their respective styles in some form or another.

For Pink Floyd, Queensyrche’s Silent Lucidity used to be incorrectly linked to them just for being a bittersweet psychedelic ballad that sounds a lot like Comfortably Numb and is written like Mother. Similar story with Lunatic Fringe by Red Rider (fronted by Tom Cochrane who is even better known for Life Is A Highway).

I remember p2p networks like Limewire misattributing A Girl Like You by Edwyn Collins to either David Bowie or Iggy Pop and it’s not hard to see why. I always thought that Do It Again by Steely Dan was a Satana record and I’m far from the only one.
