The procedure known as colonoscopies as a prophylactic for colon cancer is a multimillion dollar industry. Every year, over 14 million perfectly healthy individuals age 50 and up, submit themselves to this invasive procedure hoping to detect colorectal cancer. But is it really effective?
Itโ€™s a Painful and Dangerous Procedure
Itโ€™s actually far more dangerousโ€”and potentially deadlyโ€”than theyโ€™d like to admit. According The Annals Of Internal Medicineโ€™s report on colonoscopies, an estimated 70,000 (0.5%) will be injured or killed by a complication related to this procedure. This figure is 22% higher than the annual deaths from colorectal cancer itself โ€“ the very disease the device was designed to prevent.
According to the Telemark Polyp Study I, colonoscopies actually increase mortality by 57% . For every person saved by a colonoscopy, 56 people suffer serious injury. A person can live for decades with colon cancer, but if the doctor punctures a hole in your intestine, you can die in a hurry.
Colonoscopy Does NOT Prevent Cancer
According to the American Cancer Society, up until 2009 โ€œโ€ฆthere are no prospective randomized controlled trials of screening colonoscopy for the reduction in incidence of or mortality from colorectal cancer.โ€
From an article in the New York Times, dated 2006; โ€œThe patients in all the studies had at least one adenoma detected on colonoscopy but did not have cancer. They developed cancer in the next few years, however, at the same rate as would be expected in the general population without screening.โ€
Another research study published in 2006 concluded that the screened patients in all of the studies developed colorectal cancer โ€œat the same rate as would be expected in the general population without screeningโ€ in the next few years, even though all found polyps had been removed.
Colonoscopy is a Scam
It is a scam to make pharmaceutical industry and doctors rich. The AMA has conspired to make colonscopy screening a policy for preventative care when it is an unnecessary invasive procedure. Radiation levels from a single virtual colonoscopy are similar to the atomic bomb exposure in Hiroshima, even though, according to The National Cancer Institute: โ€œWhether virtual colonoscopy can reduce the number of deaths from colorectal cancer is not yet known.โ€
A non invasive test knowns as a fecal immunochemical test is just as effective.

In the large bowel, the digestive process is already over. This is the rubbish bin. The colon keeps the organism from getting clogged up and intoxicated with the stuff it does not need. Therefore, it contributes to the respiratory process (complements the lungs).
In the colon, the body extracts and recuperates water from the food it did not digest and is going to expel. This is where the garbage collets, though some intake still takes place. Here, just like in the small bowel, the question of what must be kept and what must be thrown away persists.
In nature, to defecate is considered as a gift of excrement, a fertilizer for the earth. Excrement and money are associated in many ways. For example, in many European countries, there is a belief that to step on excrement brings luck and money.
The small bowel is associated with the process of discrimination to allow proper absorption. The large bowel is associated with the underworld, the unconscious, the realm of the dead. It is in the large bowel that decomposition takes place. It symbolizes the nocturnal side of the body.
Constipation (lazy bowels) shows that the person does not want to give, to offer. The person hangs on to what he has. It is characteristic of people who are frugal, skimpy, with money. It reflects the desire to hold on to material possessions. People who suffer from constipation are very egocentric.
Colon cancer, like all cancers, is associated with a great tension that the person experienced and did not verbalize, a tension that was kept well hidden. This tension is associated with unhappiness at home, a feeling that the person was the victim of some dirty and infamous deed.
Cancer of the colon is more prevalent in the ascending colon, in the sigmoid, and in the upper and lower rectum.
Colon tensions are almost always feminine tensions, except those that occur in the ascending colon, which are usually masculine, and those in the lower rectum, which are connected with tensions in the relationship between male and female.

There are a lot of very debatable bits in that passage.

Most parts of the world use non-invasive screening methods for bowel cancer like faecal occult blood testing or FIT (faecal immunochemical tests).

It is true that the USA health care system likely scams money from insurance companies and patients by advising colonoscopy for screening as it generates much more money for the endoscopy clinics, when other tests are very effective, cheap and non-invasive.

However, they are not very dangerous. In my 18 years as a doctor I have not had any patients experience complications from a colonoscopy other than a bit of trapped wind for a few hours.

The sources linked are not ones Iโ€™d use to reference accurate information.

Yea inagree. This sounds untrue and or need more credibe research

Misinformation tailored to feed on the fears and reluctance ppl already have about the procedure.

Your health is your responsibility. But itโ€™s irresponsible and malicious to mislead others bc you have some kind of anti medical vendetta.

Had one done. An upper and a lower. Said everything was good down there. Just a tiny barely visible polip stating and to come back in some years to get another check up. Oh man the recovery room is full of others who had the same procedureโ€ฆ i think there were 6 beds full of people having the biggest farts of their lives.

The OP doesn't have the slightest idea of what they're talking about. They can't argue for anything they copy-paste; the person literally has no argument at all. Reminds me of Oscar Wilde's quote:

I had a sigomodoscopy? For a bowel cancer check a few years back. It was uncomfortable to say the least, hen had to go back for an endoscopy? Which is a further look in they said. Due to the discomfort they gave me fent and a pain killed via line feed I to my hand. This was during COVID. They said I should take the mask off it's okay l, but I said it's staying on to hide my utter disgust at this. They lay me down facing a big screen in the fetal position. So I could see the camera, the 3 females doing it were smoking hot and kept telling me it's okay to fart....no chance was I ripping a fart out. The most degrading part was then wiping my arse after from the gel stuff they use......

They took biopsies and job was a good one, it didn't take long and I was in and out.

As soon as I was outside I ripped the biggest guff ive ever done......

They were very professional and I found it more shocking that they did......every day for these professionals I guess.

would you recommend someone chemo for cancer?

would you recommend someone chemo for cancer?

Iโ€™m a GP so have no involvement in chemotherapy. However, I have an interest in palliative care so have counselled patients many times as they wanted my opinion.

Itโ€™s all down to the chance of success. They are horrible medications, so if they are only going to extend life by a couple of months but make the person feel horrible Iโ€™d suggest considering having a shorter but nicer life.

Iโ€™ve had some patients go into full remission with chemo, and often young patients with families opt for any treatment to give more time with their kids.

Now I have intensely studied the actual science of human existence and history, I prefer holistic approaches to augment medicine. Such as moving to a whole food mostly plant-based diet, exercise, meditation, careful supplementation and spiritual practice.

If you look into it, there are many "alternative" CURES, one I have read being the Keto diet surprisingly. The alkaline method, you can starve it, honestly the options are endless. I'm in the middle of making dinner right now and I need to go feed my chickens, but I will be back. The one thing I have learned is to never trust studies from the USA, the best info comes from elsewhere, I'm no doctor, but I have been paying attention for over 20 years to cancer. I also have a question for you but I will have to ask later, when I have the time. Cancer loves sugar!

This video might interest you, look how they railroaded this poor doctor, the medical industry is corrupt and runs on pure greed!
