I disagree. While it's easy to call them a plague on society many of these people are unwilling victims of a concerted effort to kill off America's general population. My theory is the Chinese are deliberately flooding America with opiates to undermine our social structures and national economy - potentially with aid from actors within our own government (think 1980's Panama under Noriega which funneled drugs under the guidance of the CIA to inner cities in a bid to fund Anti-Communist forces in South America). You have to remember China suffered under an opioid crisis for 100 years, known as the "Century of Humiliation". This is taught in their schools but not ours. They hold the west responcible for this disaster that befell them and now are returning the favor. I don't know the percentage but it's high, probably around 90%+ of all the fentanyl is made in China in state sanctioned pharmaceutical labs. These drugs are illegal in China and punishable by death should they be distributed domestically, so clearly the state must know about it. The US loses 100,000 people per year to Fentanyl OD alone. That's like more than the deaths suffered by the atom bomb dropped on Hiroshima every year in the US, systematically, and worsening. The people use the drug once and then are addicted, enter a cycle of decline, of which they receive little sympathy and no help. Worse they are often enabled - given taxpayer funded needles, pipes, and "safe" use sites. Funny how the state calls it safe when the drug in itself can kill with one use. Just my two cents.

I agree. Imo if China did not go through the 100 year opioid crisis they would be far more advanced and would have taken over the US as the worlds superpower long ago👍 again imo 😉

I disagree, China was a stagnant culture for 500 years and were conquered by the British as a direct result of their deliberate aversion to modernization. The British sent one steam powered warship, I believe it was called the Nemesis, and it wiped out the entire Chinese imperial navy, and then it simply landed at the capital and the Emperor signed the surrender - which is why Hongkong was a British posession up until 1997. China also isn't a unified nation, we just need to look at Taiwan (aka Republic of China) to see that, not to mention the Uyghur concentration camps - I believe over a million Chinese in camps because their faith isn't sanctioned by the state.
