Random Someone Actively Dying, on YouTube.

My phone was clearly listening to me as my last 3 calls at work tonight were to arrange death verifications. Then I get home and YouTube serves up this video 😂.

A palliative care nurse talks through the stages of active dying with a video of a dying woman sent in by her viewers.

I personally think the trigger warning should be about her awfully placed Botox, but hey ho.

This is the type of death I’ve been present at the most. It’s always interesting to see, and nice to be able help people though this stage of their journey.

Death is the best orgasm you will ever have!

Your right, I have a friend searching something she couldnt find and yelled out 'FUCK GOOGLE BULLSHIT' and a text came back and said WE ARE ALWAYS ON. No shit, 1996 FCC laws are very clear, YOU WILL BE RECORDED IN YOUR LIFETIME FROM HERE ON. WE ARE LIVING THE BOOK OF RECORDS MENTIONED THROUGH TIME. Know your ENEMY, AND YOUR SEARCH ENGINE!!!

1996 FCC rules, regulations CLEARLY STATE you will be recorded visually and AUDIBLY even when not using it, IT LISTENS! I know only one person but she swears its true. She cussed Google for not finding something and a text came back with 'DONT CUSS GOOGLE'. She has outlived cancer, does not lie, very meticulous in daily order. But she swears that happened. Theres a few books on the subject, too, I might add. You are being CONSTANTLY RECORDED whether YOU give a shit or not, its fucking real

Ooops, granny just kicked OFF, no, wait, yep, nope, damn if I know. Get the hole ready, regardless 🤪

Look to them it might all be normal it yes it might be but fuck me man save my family the hassle and give me a heart attack when im there. That would absolutely traumatise my children.

In my years in HEMS I was present at hundreds of deaths. Thank god hospice patients aren’t considered “acute emergencies”. They smell like death.

Hospice nurses are special people. Truly angels in every sense of the word.

They handle other people pain for a living. Imagine knowing that every patient you meet will die on your watch and all you can do is make them comfortable and try to explain to their families that it is a natural process..fuck that! I approach my patients knowing that death is going to have to fight like hell to take them from me.
I’m a hospice RN. Not every pt. does - some graduate. But, I guess you’re right - they circle back around eventually when it’s the real deal. I do it because it’s the most real you can get in this life - to be able to be with someone who’s facing death head on, and knowing that I can provide them with pain-free peace at the end of life. That’s really rewarding and fulfilling. And I’m hoping Karma will swing around when it’s my time and I get a nurse as good as I am 😉

Since you brought it up - are you one of those who can smell when a pt. is dying? It’s real - only about 30% of people have that ability. I work with nurses who can. I think it’s fascinating - like dogs and cats who pick up a certain scent when death approaches. They stay close to the person who’s passing.

I don’t have that ability. I wish I did! I’m jealous when they flex their super power when we walk into a pt’s room and one of my colleagues says, “Oh - I think it’ll be tonight” and they’re right!

A few years ago I went several miles from where I live to buy some timber from a rural timber yard. As I approached the entrance of the yard I saw a car had ploughed into a telegraph pole and there was smoke coming from it. I raced u to see if I could help. There was a pregnant woman in the passenger seat and a big guy behind the wheel. Lots of beer cans in the car. The woman was in a really bad way and was dying - I could see it. Her drunk fucking husband refused me to see if I could help her. It as heart breaking. The drunken prick wanted to fight me because he thought I fancied his woman, wtf. It as upsetting when the ambulance arrived and they told she died likely just before they came. I can do CPR but was not able and it fucking haunts me to this day.

Death is fascinating . I don't talk about it much but my wife has worked as a hospice aide for more than a decade. It's been a blessing having her insight and strength by my side as both my parents departed. In fact she is presently back in her home country helping her family deal with her dads journey.
It's also true that a lot of my wifes patients have been dementia paitents, also likely to be beneficial, as I'm unfortunately predisposed to suffer that fate. Death has such a stigma yet is so natural. I just hope I meet my fate before the dementia finds me as the shock of my moms sudden death was nothing in compare to my dads longest goodbye.
I have such high respect, for people like this that make end of life as pleasant as possible. You are needed and appreciated.

telegraph pole, really? Do you work for at&t?

Yeah I don't think it's correct to just assume she's in no pain or is not in complete mental anguish / panic on the inside just because the old body isn't actively mobile. That seems like absolute horror and MAKE SURE YOU DRUG THE FUCK OUT OF ME so I'm wasted and tripping if I ever get that old and am dying like that. !!!
This!! Please don't put me through this, give me a good lethal dose of morphine so it's quick. I wouldn't want my family to remember this. It is a good video though.
