Surely you like Marilyn Manson's version, right?

I saw the very first performance of this song in public. It was at Trees in Dallas on the opening night of their first headlining tour. November of 1995, I believe. They finished their tour with Nine Inch Nails at Fair Park and played trees the next night. Monster Voodoo Machine opened for them. It was a great show.

That reminded me of a junkie I used to know, Blake. Desperate fucking little bitch
I worked with a junkie in Darwin at the methadone clinic. He broke into a bottle shop one night off his face, got a back pack full of spirits and then staggered off to the bushes next to the bottle shop and fell asleep, where the cops found him. Hilarious.

When he got out of gaol and back for his dose a few months later I said "Hey mate! You're a star! I saw you in the newspaper!"

He didn't want to talk about it...

Not with ya Wiggins can you spell it out to me i'm sometimes thick as Pig shit as well!
Pi

"Bloke was thick as pi shit"

Pi is the circumferance of a circle divided by its diameter. Expressed as 22 divided by 7. Been around for thousands of years. You can never get to the end of the equation as it seems to go on for ever.

In 'Contact' by Carl Sagan, he writes about them continuiing to crunch the number and eventually a circle appears in the figures. It's a good book, better than the movie.

Was that the Downward Spiral tour? NIN, Manson and Jim Rose Circus…saw it in Philly at the Specturm (RIP), and it was the last stop on the Tour before the Holidays…

That is exactly right. I actually knew Jim and Enigma pretty well at the time.
The show in Philly was off the hook, Trent pranked Manson big time, he sent out beefy male strippers to the stage halfway through Manson’s set, and Mason himself told us to “Tell these faggots to get off the stage”, later he strips off his pants so he’s nude but kept his hand over the twig and berries, then slips on a pair of bike shorts…I have Jim Rose’s book, it’s an interesting read, and they were on an episode of X-Files, one of my favorite shows ever!!

That's an awesome story! But then, Manson never put on a boring show. The first time I saw them was by accident at a little bar called Rock&Roll Revolution in Deep Ellum in 1992. Nobody had a clue who they were.

The band wasn't quite so theatrical yet, but it was still an amazing show. We were all kind of taken aback because even then there wasn't quite anything else like them, except maybe GWAR or Skinny Puppy. And even those were so different as to make Manson incomparable. really.
