So, is this guy like, just a Nazi scientist or something. I mean the Hippocratic Oath is clearly meaningless to him and he seemingly spends all his time inventing Jigsaw-esque contraptions for his patients to use to kill themselves. I'm all for freedom of "choice in dying", but one must also think about the motivations of the man making it all possible.

Good grief. #Breathplay takes on a different meaning with Dr. Death. He hasn't ever liked being called Dr. Death but, it fits.
In the USA, only 12 states allow for physician assisted suicide for mentally competent sufferers w/6 months or less to live IIRC, so far. Virginia & a couple others are close in passing legislation soon though. I think they all use phenobarbital or secobarbitol in a liquid form though. The patient drinks it themselves when they're ready & they die in their sleep, I guess?
Europeans should reconsider their stance IMHO. I guess they're too worried about the liability & misuse & ethical issues. The ones making those decisions aren't the ones who are the sufferers though. 🤦🏼‍♀️

He's is obviously Horst Schumann.

This can easily be misuse to commit murders

what's wrong with killing yourself the old-fashioned ways? If they can't do that, let them die naturally in agony.
Kill yourself, but don't expect others to do it for you.

if and when i chose to go out it will be on my own terms, certainly not asking for permission to use one of the governments state sanctioned death machines

-3 stars. Total boredom I want something that gives me that reimagined alien v predator for copyright purposes I’ll change it up to maybe hatching from my eye socket or the crown of my head to be different from the original experience or nothing. I feel the design lacks appeal and luster with the easily forgettable e collar.

That's the thing... It is not sanctioned there (Switzerland) & actually, an American-national, a woman, used their Sarco Death Pod device in Switzerland & died. She wanted to die. Afterward the government had their police arrest a doctor that was supposedly present when she used it, & was involved with it all though, no one has explained fully to what extent. This all happened this past summer, 2025.
How obliged is a doctor or another to try to stop someone (especially if they are suffering from some illness) from committing suicide?

No one needs permission to commit suicide in the first place. However, they tend to ask for pre-forgivness from their loved ones & God.
