The crime occurred around 10 PM yesterday, on Avenida Copacabana, in the Alphaville Plus neighborhood, in Barueri. According to the SSP-SP (São Paulo Public Security Secretariat), doctor Carlos Alberto Azevedo Silva Filho, 44, fired at Luís Roberto Pellegrini Gomes, 43, and Vinicius Dos Santos Oliveira, 35, on the sidewalk outside the restaurant. The three knew each other, according to the police.The Municipal Civil Guard had already been called minutes earlier after a report of an armed man inside the establishment. According to the SSP report, the three doctors argued inside the restaurant, but the disturbance had initially been contained. Minutes later, once outside, Carlos Alberto drew a 9 mm caliber pistol and shot the victims. He was arrested in the act.The victims were given first aid but died on the way to the hospital. The weapon and spent casings were seized, along with documents, a bag, and R$ 16,140 in cash. The police have requested preventive detention for Carlos Alberto Azevedo Silva Filho.UOL is seeking comment from Carlos Alberto's defense. He allegedly arrived at the establishment intoxicated and began assaulting some employees at the reception.He also allegedly assaulted one employee and made racist insults against another worker. The doctor also broke objects and furniture in the hotel. A habeas corpus was granted by the courts months later.
