I know my artists and art history. Van Gogh was the Dutch guy who was possibly more famous for cutting off part of his ear and Jackson Pollock created SPLATTER painting and his work is... well, you seen it. But... his one painting, Number 17A, painted in 1948, sold for $200 MILLION USD in a 2015 private sale by hedge fund manager Kenneth C. Griffin so, there's that. Go figure.
