The exact reason I'll never drive an autonomous or smart car, if the government can shut it off or tell your car where to take you remotely then so can criminals and hackers. Imagine you're getting followed by robbers with some kind of spoofer that makes your car lose power and shut off, or someone just telling your car to drive you to some sketchy alley at night to rob or kill you.
