I was working in a community mental health clinic once when I heard a commotion in the street. Traffic had stopped and horns were blaring and I went out and saw a middle aged woman in the middle of the road pulling her tongue out with her hand to such an extent I was amazed. Just standing there with tongue at full stretch makling grunting sounds.

I asked her if she was ok and she immediately let her tongue go and said "Of course!" as though I'd asked her a totally ridiculous question. I still remember how nightmarish it looked seeing that tongue pulled so far out of her mouth. I never knew a tongue could stretch that far...
