38-year-old Lafimmas Leevon Haynes was released from prison last month due to overcrowding and reportedly started a fight with a New Orleans bar employee while the employee was taking the trash out.
That argument escalated into Hayes shooting the bar employee and one other bystander before Tulane police arrived on scene. Both victims are considered critical at this time. Hayes later died from his gunshot wounds.
