You're right and that it's a usual problem with these kind of people, they don't remember shit in the moment. They don't know how to self-regulate at all and any "remembering" happens physically and externally with zero internal processing. First instinct is to lay hands on someone like a nigger.

Don't know the context though. The "That sucks, don't it?" Comment makes me think the dad actually is lucid and thoughtful. He's not just beating his kid in a blind quiet rage. Kid did probably something similar to somebody else. Maybe he was bullying somebody at school, pushed his mother, beat his girlfriend, or something. If that is the case, actually pretty big dad win. These licks will teach the boy not to do nigger shit himself, and make him see the kind of world he's inviting to his own doorstep when he lays hands on people.
