"We are aware of the IAF transport aircraft accident in Jorhat. We are awaiting further details," Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma said.

The Antonov AN-32 is a rugged, twin-engine turboprop military transport aircraft that serves as the "workhorse" of the Indian Air Force. First built in the Soviet Union specifically for Indian requirements, the IAF operates a fleet of about 100 of these aircraft." Vid: Was a very choppy, low quality video: the retard recording it from a PC screen kept fast forwarding it...was 5 mins long. Nice landing but looks like maybe a prop feathered out and a brake on one side malfunctioned. Seems like a slow response by emergency crews. Pilot/s seem to have escaped the cockpit.

You can see the issue start just before landing. The left engine is not producing enough reverse thrust hence only the right rear gear touches down, causes the bounce, and eventually the excursion to the left. A go-around to troubleshoot or come up with a game plan would have been best.
Uh, I only have 20,000+ flight hours in Heli's and Fixed wing aircraft so I don't know much about flying, but back in the 80's I remember reading somewhere that anyone other than a test pilot (in a test flight setting) initiating "Reverse Thrust" before the MLG are firmly on the ground is initiating a crash sequence. I think that universal law applies to Russian aircraft flown by Indians.

BTW, due to FPS rates on video recording systems one can not make any determination of RPM from a simple video...

The CVR should be interesting, to hear what action they took at the end to avoid going into the terrain, or maybe just "Sheeeiiit!".

The cause of the crash has yet to be ascertained? Well, Indians maintained it and Indians flew it. Cause ascertained.
When they say the guys who died were "martyred warriors" one has to wonder if they died in combat. Maybe they're ascertaining that too.

It does look like uncontrolled asymmetrical thrust. Tires seem to be intact and pilots dont just drive off the runway.
