Xbox One

I’m not much of a gaming person. I didn’t own any consoles until yesterday. A man came in the store and said that he had bought a new one and knew that I have children. He wanted to give me the Xbox he had. I told him to put it in my truck and if I didn’t want it I’d find someone who does.

He gave me an Xbox One (original) and a Zombieland game was in the box. I had to order a power supply and some controllers for it.

Can anyone tell me pros and cons of this system? After researching, it’s a 2014 original Xbox One. Tell me what you can- if you like it, would you put any money into a free console like this one, what were your favorite games to play on it?

We have an Xbox1. Haven't used it in years, but when the kids were younger, they played a lot of 'Ty the Tasmanian Tiger' and 'Crash Bandicoot'. We had a few other games, but those seemed to be the favorites.

Ty has pretty good replayability as well if memory serves me correctly.

I've had one for a couple of years now. It has a physical disc drive, and a superior hard drive, and graphics way better, compared to the more recent Xbox series S. Highly recommend, especially if you don't want to put out the $700-$1000 for a series X. Even got the original controller too, whole kit cost me $300, best part..the gear is backwards compatible with everything that came before it. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Con its an xbox 😂 stop being tight and get ur kids a ps5 🤣🤣
But nah tis a good gaming system
Theres all the games "kids" nowadays play like roblox and fortnite and if u do the game pass subscription u can get access to loooooooads of free games updated with new ones every month !!! in recent years xbox has fallen from grace just cos ps5 had a load of ace games that are exclusive to ps5 🤷‍♂️ the only real con is u need to subscribe to get the benefits of having one tbh but if u dont care about playing online on it u can get discs relatively cheap now for xbox1 and it has backwards compatability so it can play pretty much any older xbox games too just be careful not to buy the latest "xbox one x" games
