Yeah, the ESA counted every woman who's ever even touched a Facebook or cell phone game as a "gamer."
That's all well and good, but adult men spend far more money on games, play the majority of computer and console games, buy a much larger number of games, and spend a larger portion of their time playing games, hence remaining by far the most important demographic in computer and video gaming, despite being outnumbered by adult women by a whopping 1% slice.
