Just finished up the complete Guinea Pig collection. I really loved Flowers of Flesh and Blood, that was by far my favorite of the series.

I thought it was so fucking funny, loved the style. Sort of reminded me of Serial Mom/But I'm Just A Cheerleader.. both are also good movies.

Haute Tension (High Tension), a French slasher/psychological horror flick.

I'm not going to assign it a number. It was Good — better than Average, but not Fantastic. The gore itself was top-notch ('specially a particular throat-cutting scene), but it never really scared me, and nothing else about it stood out except the small-breasted, short-haired French lead. Sexy.

I just watched Polyester. I remember watching Pink Flamingos and thinking 'what the fuck is this' I hated the acting and the way the characters were so 'put on' but I kept on watching because it was absurd. The leading drag even ate dog shit at the end, to prove a point. Polyester was kinda disappointing since they could've gone to so many places with what they had, & produced proper filth. But maybe John Waters just didn't want to clutter whatever plot in this one. Wouldn't have watched it if I knew it was so 'clean.' The concepts were dirty, but visually it wasn't.

Oh, yeah, didn't like it. Someone else should've played Bateman, I fucking hate Bale's acting. (Family friend went to school w/ him for a few years when he lived down here. He was an obnoxious little biiiish.) But I was surprised to see Jared Leto in it. McDermott's character was more fascinating than Bateman's, ffs..
