It appears that we have finally sold my mothers house, so we can now settle her estate and go on with our lives. Even having a will, at least in this state, it is still a big pain in the ass.
My kids n' their friends(6), droppin' by, raiding the frig, taking over the t.v. room and they'r watching SpongeBob, lol. Mind you they are 18 - 22 in age. 
Found some former classmates on a 'stay friends' website today.

Close on the house tomorrow. Damn I am glad this is over. The money comes in second to the relief that I no longer have to deal with it.
Finally get to take that road trip I felt I was cheated out of in February. Not going to the west coast tho, just the Rocky mountains. My friend from Vancouver is meeting me half way. I can't wait.
Deposited a very large check, and though the reason I was able to do so is still painful, it makes me smile because I know my mother would be happy that she was able to leave her children in a better financial position.

I get a lot of statements in the mail and I never open them, I just shred them. One seemed thicker so I opened it. There was a $400 cheque from last March in it. That bitch almost went through the shredder.
I did that one time, since then I open everything to make sure.
