Just put a fishtank together, been decades since I touched one but fuck everything is relatively cheap and silent now as far as pumps and shit go. Got an Eheim canister filter on sale and built my own 6500k led light. No plastic shit it either grows or goes. I'll cycle it for a while, stick the heater on and add some tropical fish and shrimps, get bored again and move to the next project.

In a few months I expect something like this (buying more plants this weekend).

Nice! Had a fish tank years ago with the first wife. I liked it, but we had it for years and the fish never got very big. Made for really poor sandwiches, gone in one bite.

Get gold fish, man. My grandparents used to have an little man made pond, and they bought little tiny goldfish from a pet store. They decided to bring the fish in during the winter and put them in a spare tank they had. Frigging things grew close to a foot long, and fat as fuck.
