I would have not done the partition into two seperate countries of Pakistan and India.. India and Pakistan would be the same country, it would all be India. There might have been a civil war but the secular humanists of India would have won against the Islamic partitionists in what is now Pakistan and it would be a united secular country.

Which would be Far better than what we got by giving the partitioners what they wanted which is a separate country for Muslims, Pakistan, which has led to decades of cold war and sometimes hot war between the two nations, India and Pakistan? who have nuclear weapons pointed at eachother.
