That's a bad stroke of luck, damn. When I was in karate tournaments years ago, if your opponent collapsed or got hurt to where the match had to be paused, you were to kneel and face away from your opponent until they were ready to start again.
That was with full pads though and not like this level of contact so it's definitely different, just seeing him go down like that brought that memory up.

Such a brutal sport. Minors shouldn't be participating in it. Concussions are bad enough in grown men. Children don't have the ability to consent to the risk nor the brain development to truly understand consequences.
Pretty safe to say nobody will fuck with the other kid now that he killed someone with his fists.

It was the hit between the 16-17 second mark where one can see his left leg buck before the exchange of blows in the corner. The further exchange of blows made it worse, but it was that shot that most likely separated a blood vessel in the brain.
I read a bit more about this sad situation. This was the final match in a juniors competition. My guess is the kid died either from the cumulative assaults of all the matches, or something was 90% ready to blow from previous matches, and this one brought it to 100%.
Except for his therapist.
