PASURUAN, KOMPAS.com - An unfortunate fate befell a boy with the initials Daffa Aryan Nabil (7), a resident of Cobanjoyo Village, Kejayan District, Pasuruan Regency. The victim died after being hit by a car while waiting for his mother to shop on the side of the road, Sunday (15/2/2026). The tragic incident occurred on the Pasuruan -Bromo Highway , precisely in Tebas Village, Gondangwetan District and was clearly recorded on CCTV.
Chronology of Events In CCTV video footage, the accident began when the victim's mother, Maulidina Mariam, was riding an automatic motorbike and stopped at a shop at the scene of the incident. Maulidina then parked her motorbike at the side of the road to enter the shop, while the victim remained on the parked motorbike.
Not long after, a black minibus was speeding from the north. The car driven by Mohamad Muklas, a resident of Pohgading Village, Pasrepan District, suddenly lost control. "Suddenly the car went off the asphalt road, hitting the motorbike and the victim. The victim was thrown quite far," said Cobanjoyo Village Head, Rohman, Sunday (15/2/2026).
The hard impact caused the victim's motorbike and body to be thrown several meters from the starting point. The mother and residents who witnessed the incident immediately became hysterical. Local residents immediately tried to help the victim and took her to Dr. R. Soedarsono Regional Hospital in Pasuruan City. However, unfortunately, the poor boy's life could not be saved due to the serious injuries he suffered. Until this news was published, the police were still investigating the exact cause of why the car left the lane and hit a parked vehicle.
The minibus driver has now been detained for further questioning regarding the fatal incident. "The police (Satlantas) are still conducting further investigations regarding the exact cause of the accident," said Aipda Junaidi, Acting Head of Public Relations of the Pasuruan City Police.
