they dont have the money to bribe authorities if he does kill the alleged rapist. the older guy beating him was also asked to stop, so he could only say shit like "ill break your neck". the rest dont want to spend any time in indonesian prison.
from what i understand, there wasnt rape mentioned but the girl he allegedly assaulted was poor, her father collected recyclables for a living and her mother is really sick. he was proudly telling everyone in the video what he did to her, which then led to him getting his ass beaten.
