Serious Anybody experienced death closely lately?

When you've reached 'old' age everyone you know starts dropping off the perch, sucks, but, "no one gets out of this game alive"

Perhaps.
The Bible states we are eternal creations. Thus, we never "die" .
Our flesh perishes .
But we venture on.
Yes, heaven or hell.

I hope this link helps :

And that link describes exactly why I don't take religion seriously, Romans 8.22, one sentence & every scholar makes something different from it & says their version is the correct one, the Old Testament is full of conflicting stories about a loving God, one I read a long time ago, a large group of people were out traveling in the desert, God came to the leader & said "let your slaves go free, but if any decide to stay with you thou shalt take a bradawl & piece their left ear, fit a ring of gold, then they shalt be yours forever" So, the boss says "hey slaves, off you go into the desert(no food or water) OR get your ear pierced & be mine forever" Fuck! What a choice, desert & die, stay & be a slave, if this is God being a good bloke it's not for me, if you get something out of religion, go for it.

one of my friends back in highschool, we never talked much but she got me into gore when i was younger and we'd watch it together and shit. We listened to a lot of music and went to concerts. Recently she killed herself last week and idk how to feel about it. Both came from a small town, was her first friend when she moved here. It wasn't a normal friendship like us guys have with eachother, it was really weird. If y'all are curious why she killed herself, i frankly dont know myself. I know she dealt with body issues, and had some family issues.

Yup. Only ones that hurt me were from close friends and an ex boyfriend .
It does shape u as a person for sure , for years I don’t bother finding real love or friendship cause those concepts died for me the moment THEY died
U do learn to β€œget over it” eventually there will be a moment u will no longer think about it that much it will no longer affect u this deeply but u will be a different person ur concept of different life aspects WILL change but you will be okay in the end as always all u need is faith and hope .

I can show you more misgivings.
To pull say 10 scriptures that don't align is to judge this book neffariously. There are more.
There are goofs. But once you go from Genesis to Revelation the TRUTH is apparent.
I stand by the Bible.

I realise I haven't been around all that long in the grand scheme of things, so please forgive the somewhat weighty subject matter... but has anyone experienced death very closely lately and, if so, can anyone put into words how it's made them feel? I ask as last Friday a friend of mine was laid to rest (bowel cancer, super aggressive, father of three; dead at 36 and a more humble, family-oriented bloke you are never likely to meet), and after that on the same afternoon my dad was rushed into hospital where he died just before midnight. And I can honestly say that all I feel really - for the moment at least - is cold and numb. Please understand that I don't ask this in a snowflakey 'please pay attention to me, I'm so sad, I deserve all the attention' kind of way - you can all tell me to get fucked if you're so inclined. I'm just genuinely interested as to whether anyone else has experienced similar and whether they think that watching gore has desensitised them to death in the 'real world'.
Not sure if watching these videos have desensitized me. But I've always had a firm understanding of how suddenly death can happen to anyone at any moment. Everyone's gotta do it. It's a natural part of life. It's okay to mourn or not. It's however you feel. Everyone's gotta go sometime. Not much point in letting it surprise you.

A lady I work with died recently. I had to pick up some of her projects. She was a very tidy lady and extremely organised. Going through her folders, files and plans was like going through her memories. It made me cry.

I had so much work to do.

no but its lurking around. i been get this same faint vibeish feeling ive had in the past when something bad happens to me.
but let it be when my wife comes back from her vacation with her girl friends. id at least want her to enjoy her trip and not cut it short.
yea i know, theres plenty of trips she will enjoy there after im gone.

I learned recently you can make a fortune keeping stiffs on ice till they can be buried. $500 a week, and borders never complain or trash the place.
I found dying put a different perspective on death for me. Gore just shows a variety of possibilities they have for it.

I did not go to religion.
Jesus came to me. Most here know the occurence. I was not looking, seeking, etc.
Know I know the truth.
Unless your "born again" , one cannot grasp the true reality of the Bible.

Roman's 8:22 note, The Bible is a book of books. How can we take a single sentence then judge the entire book ?

Hope this helps.

My mum died on the 31st of October this year, couldn't even go to the funeral because the rest of my family was there, same thing with visiting her in hospital, then they burnt her corpse, so I can't even go to a grave to visit.
