I have been shooting 3 gun and long range competitions for the past 5+ years….took home numerous championships, sponsored by a major firearm manufacturer and even have a 2 mile hit under my belt…..i have 2 safes filled with guns and a safe with just ammo….I have .50cal, .416 Chey-Tac, .338 Lapua, numerous 12ga., .308’s, 5.56’s, and handguns galore…..just can’t seem to part with any of them….I have actually been visited by the ATF 2x’s due to “unusually high purchase rate” of firearms….they thought I was a straw purchaser….ended up suing them in federal court for harassment and constitutional rights violations and won a judgment in my favor.

I grew up shooting. I own a handful but my father is the one with the safes full lol. He's got over 200 guns in his gun room. I used to do target competitions when I was really young, small caliber and small prizes. I won everytime though! I don't shoot as much but I have a huge range we built on my property. There's a couple areas that go straight down a path in the woods we marked every 50 yards with metal targets for the .50 cal and AR's. It's not fancy but it's accurate!

Damn, I would love to have property like that😀

I've got a love/hate thing. I had guns years ago but I watched too many animals suffer and die and gave them all away, otherwise I'm fascinated with weapons. I recently inherited a Crossman 177 pellet gun that I target shoot with and an old Daisy BB gun that scares away crows.
I don’t hunt and never hunted in my life….I am a huge lover of animals and seeing them injured or killed tears me up…. Ow humans I am totally fine with that.

I had several air rifles and pistols in my teens, I'd shoot targets and anything that broke or smashed in the back yard, I'd take them to the woods to shoot birds and rabbits, when we went fishing I'd take them and shoot the crabs, and at the chicken sheds on the local farm I'd shoot mice and rats.

A year ago I got myself a cheap 177 pistol, and for my birthday this year my other half got me a 177 Umarex Trevox.. it's good to pass the time.. I just need to make a few rodent kills with it

Yeah I tried to get in the army but wasn’t aloud, before that in the cadets I shot for the county with a match rifle (Lee Enfield modified to 7.62 with iron sights on 1000 yard range) had a few pellet guns too, got a few 177 BB guns at the mo, a glock 22. A Luger, a colt 45, a m4 and a mp5 and also got a 22 long barrel

I love target shooting. I now realise it is, by definition, also meditation. Putting your whole consciousness into a single point of focus, clearing the mind, all while being fully engaged with the task physically.

Living in the UK I don’t get to play with the proper bits of kit but I can use my air guns in my back garden. My post man even joined in one day when I was taking long shots from my front drive down the side of the house to the back of my back garden lol. He looked a bit scared at first seeing me holding a Field Target PCP rifle as he came to my house 😂. My neighbours join in as well.

I’ve got a Daystate Mk3 FTR I got second hand that was fitted with a custom trigger. It’s electronically regulated so you can have the two stages of the trigger super tuned with such a gentle click. Using a rest with no wind it can put a 177 pellet through the same hole again and again.

I also have a CO2 powered 177 8-shot Beretta 92 nickel plated pistol that I’ve fitted with a reticle scope for my kids to use. It’s now my son’s after he proved he could show me how everything works, fully work it himself while maintaining all the safety advice I’ve taught him. Then the cheeky bugger goes and gets a perfect bulls eye on his first 5 shots and a 13 shot group of 7mm through the bulls eye at 20m with my rifle 😂.

Do you treat your guns like pets or children? Do they have names?
