Serious Anyone on here like shooting?

I haven't ventured into the world of competitive shooting, yet. Need to get a nice LPVO, before I start reaching out past 100m.

I own no guns whatsoever, but once I got to visit a gun range and got to fire a .22 (a pussy caliber, ik, but I didnt have much money), extremely fun, I'd definitely buy a gun from one of my locals if I had a higher salary.

I liked shooting in the 80's with the FAL (Light Automatic Rifle) and the 600 rpm Uzi when I was in the military. After that, I only had a simple air gun for personal use.
I have a friend who has an FFL and deals in high end firearms and military equipment/firearms/tanks and stuff like that….he has an original uzi from the 80’s that was a dealer registered firearm…..the firing rate was pretty impressive for such a compact gun….he has it for sale for like $15k…..comes in a kit with the original suppressor and all that….pretty cool. Where were you in the military?

This is just in theory, so ATF fuck off. So if in theory i made a full auto sear from a coathanger. Does anybody here know if it goes under the trigger disconnect or under the hammer itself. Anybody got any vids?

I have been shooting 3 gun and long range competitions for the past 5+ years….took home numerous championships, sponsored by a major firearm manufacturer and even have a 2 mile hit under my belt…..i have 2 safes filled with guns and a safe with just ammo….I have .50cal, .416 Chey-Tac, .338 Lapua, numerous 12ga., .308’s, 5.56’s, and handguns galore…..just can’t seem to part with any of them….I have actually been visited by the ATF 2x’s due to “unusually high purchase rate” of firearms….they thought I was a straw purchaser….ended up suing them in federal court for harassment and constitutional rights violations and won a judgment in my favor.
Was it the 338 that you got the 2mile hit?

I love shooting and i love guns, but where i live i cant own them (not due to anything on my part, just a shit state that makes it completely retarded to get into guns)

Brandon herrera made a really good video on youtube, explains everything

I love target shooting. I now realise it is, by definition, also meditation. Putting your whole consciousness into a single point of focus, clearing the mind, all while being fully engaged with the task physically.

Living in the UK I don’t get to play with the proper bits of kit but I can use my air guns in my back garden. My post man even joined in one day when I was taking long shots from my front drive down the side of the house to the back of my back garden lol. He looked a bit scared at first seeing me holding a Field Target PCP rifle as he came to my house 😂. My neighbours join in as well.

I’ve got a Daystate Mk3 FTR I got second hand that was fitted with a custom trigger. It’s electronically regulated so you can have the two stages of the trigger super tuned with such a gentle click. Using a rest with no wind it can put a 177 pellet through the same hole again and again.

I also have a CO2 powered 177 8-shot Beretta 92 nickel plated pistol that I’ve fitted with a reticle scope for my kids to use. It’s now my son’s after he proved he could show me how everything works, fully work it himself while maintaining all the safety advice I’ve taught him. Then the cheeky bugger goes and gets a perfect bulls eye on his first 5 shots and a 13 shot group of 7mm through the bulls eye at 20m with my rifle 😂.

Awesome collection of air pistols seriously, growing up I use to spend all day rain snow I didn't care shooting pellet guns, when I was about 10 I got my first walther ppk blow back bb gun, spending all the bymself shooting brought me peace, that Beretta is very nice and I've tooken my son to the range since he was 5 years old.. always maintained safety and he really enjoys it. to me going and shooting is a type of stress relief I live in the US so it's not as strick as the Uk and my grand father sold firearms and basically was who raised me, in the 80s he shot 290/300 on the policw marksmans test...belive I have his documents I would have to check to make sure, how many fps does that rifle shoot? It's nice

UK law means air guns need to be below 12ft/lb power to own without a firearms certificate. Mine falls into this. It’s about 850 fps in my 177 version.

It’s a beautiful gun to look at and use, with a pre-charged air tank and electronic regulation. This means the trigger is simply an electronic button and mine was fitted with a custom match grade trigger when I bought it and I’ve set it with very gentle 1st and 2nd stages. It has a key to unlock/ arm it and it disarms itself if not fired for a specified period of time. By using the key and trigger you can set various things like shot counter/ reset and drop the power for closer range shooting.

Target shooting is a form of meditation. Excellent stress relief.

This is a target my son used last year (aged 9). The hole in the bulls eye is a 13 shot spread at 20m. The other shots (including in the 9 ring) were zeroing the scope in bright sun light lol. I had to stand and block the sun for him. He was using a bean bag gun rest.

I grew up with guns; my dad and uncles were collectors and hunters. My first gun as a boy was an M1 carbine replica in .22lr in semiauto.
They were freely available back then but of course not meant for a 9 yo. I had to shoot only in the indoor range, never outside on the property. Because of nosey neighbors with binoculars.
But it is all gone since my father's death in '80.
Nowadays it's a bit more complicated because I have/get no license due to convictions and that's right.
