FYI As of November 30th, 2025 - Glock to Discontinue All Existing Models?? & NEW "V" Model Announced

With over 23 million Gen I, II, III, IV produced, we should be fine for awhile. I'm sure the new V model will serve admirably.

I'm not surprised. People are building way too many clones at home these days and there are MUCH better Tupperware pistols available than a basic Glock. My Walther PPQ-45 blows a Glock out of the water in comfort and function. It's better looking, more accurate, more comfortable, and has a much better trigger. However, the ubiquitous appeal and use of Glock and their mags in other platforms will still keep them relevant for decades to come.

Glock caved to Newsom?

I get what you're saying, but that's like comparing a Bentley to a Land Cruiser. They both do the same basic job, but from a very different perspective.
I guess if you just have it in your dash and hope to never use it glock is ok I have a couple I don’t carry them when I fear I might have to use a weapon, even well maintained they malfunction often, clearing jambs takes precious time. Kimber 1911 chambered in 45ACP is the shit you want.
I like my glocks for target shooting, not life insurance but I get it, get what you can afford.
But with PayPal credit pay in 4 and other similar ways of paying it makes it sooo easy.
I’ve gotten guns I could never pay cash for all at once through eBay credit.

You got to be kidding. My point was not really about the cost. I carry an Armand Swenson built Remington Rand 1911, so I know the difference of a quality expensive piece. Even so, Glocks are stupid simple and reliable, and they're very easy to upgrade with cheap parts that are available EVERYWHERE. They are excellent and practical combat firearms.

That said, I am not a huge fan. I don't even own one anymore. There are better pistols, that aren't partly plastic for the same cost or less. But to pretend Glocks aren't capable weapons is just silly.

Blows my mind. Want to try all of them.
