What was the best game you ever played, and what made it the best?

Borderlands series for me, I just loved going around looting all the equipment, found it fun to grind and upgrade my gear along the way, good replayability too

Metal Gear Solid 2 I think, my brother and I used to compete with each other on speed runs on the tanker part which made it extra enjoyable and replayable.

I should also add that Red Dead Redemption 2 is the best game I've played in years, only game I've 100% since GTA5 (PS3).

Doom, of course. I love the old and the new alike. Doom 3 wasn't exactly my favorite entry (I like running around collecting keycards, I'm a simple man). It taught me to hang back a second and look for supplies, secrets, and Easter eggs. Plus the OST for the newer entries is fucking metal.

Doom (og), Mortal Kombat, Diablo 1, Fallout, and almost any Sega game.

Personally the MK series is my favorite but the Fallout series is objectively better out of what I listed.
