I'm a Genesis fangirl through and through. My top 5 (not in any particular order) soundtracks are for the games Revenge of Shinobi, Light crusader, Shinobi 3, Landstalker, and Beyond Oasis. Honorable mention for Castlevania Bloodlines.

all final fantasy titles tend to have a great ost, but to me some with a particularly good OST are FFX and the whole trilogy of FXIII, lightning returns in particular has a wide range of genres, all excellent of course

Pretty much any Zelda game. The original set the bar so high with the opening theme. So hard to believe it was thrown together at the last minute because it was perfect.
